Why are people discrediting Zeta?

I don't really get why people are discrediting Zeta, this is their first loss since Iceland, against a team they beat in playoffs the day before. Of course they're going to get anti-strated hard that doesn't make them a bad team or they had a "fluke" in iceland it just means Nth was better that day.

Also the cringe no flaggers and that one fnatic fan making threads are cringe asf, go back to reddit lol.

I'm happy that Riot has grown JP into a strong competitive region that it is now.

viewership and support wise i'd def say it is

talent depth and playerbase aren't on par with NA and EMEA IMO (edit: and APAC too tbh)

in that case imo only NA and EMEA would be "major" regions, with BR and JP not far behind.

APAC is def a contender too, just needs slightly higher viewership and results (the latter should theoretically bring the former)

I would say that in terms of overall strength KR JP and APAC all have teams at a similar level, the only teams that have the edge are the top 1 or 2 NA/EMEA teams and Loud

personally, i feel that APAC has a lot more teams that could be competitive at LAN compared to both JP and KR (ONIC, Secret, AEGO all seem good enough) whereas I wouldn't say the same for teams like Maru or CR for example.

and the SA/SEA ranked playerbase is massive

I almost compare APAC on equal strength to NA. The difference is NA has been in tac shooters longer, I think, and its a one language region pretty much. I hope NA can start involving some of our Spanish speaking NA brethren at some point.

In terms of viewership and production ABSOLUTELY. In terms of top teams, not quite yet. I think only NA and EU are "major" regions at the moment, but I have really high hopes for every other region in franchising.

I don't think zeta was a top team at iceland tho, felt like a cinderella run like kru at champs. I believe they're the best team in their region like kru is in latam, but not a top tier team like the NA and Eu teams

Zeta beat a lot of really good teams that tournament. FNC, NIP, TL, DRX, and PRX. It was a really good run for them.
