They're going to Korea so that they can scrim against good teams, where did talks of new lineup even come from lmao. No way in hell they're going to leave their very popular and successful Indian roster to go to a region with less viewership despite having a direct slot to masters. Not to mention they have the chance at that coveted franchising Indian slot

riot doesnt give franchise slots according to performance rather according to funds and brand value
velocity is not like a org but its setup more like a team (hope u get the difference)
whilst ge already has become a huge brand becuz it had esports teams(sg team, kr teams, facility in kr.etc) around the globe and is also involved in the nft space and if u saw rushi sirs hes looking for more investors and sponors for ge,
while orangutan already has good sponsorships and looking for more

Why go to Korea when Singapore is literally the centre of APAC right now and you all get the best ping possible from SG and also all its even possible to scrim against KR, JP and Chinese teams with a fairly low ping but ig they have different plans.
SG- SG (5 Ping) , SG- HK(~45) , SG - Mumbai (~52), SG - Tokyo (~65).

Its not about being geographically closer. SG has better connectivity to all SEA countries just because of the inet infra there. Also SG teams often scrim against JP teams on HK server and they both have the same ~40 ping. And also SG- Korea ping is less compared to the other way around.

lets say you want to scrim kr, jp and china teams

then you would either move to hong kong, seoul, or tokyo to scrim

now out of those 3 seoul is the most affordable, best internet, have good teams, why would u got to singapore and have 60 ping games

yes you are right going to Korea will give me better ping to KR,JP and CN teams. What what about SEA teams?? You will get much higher ping to SG servers and HK servers while being in Korea because net infra there favors jp and cn not SEA countries.

btw, if they do scrim SEA teams, the same logic u used applies. they play on HK servers and play around 40~ ping both teams

So what they going to KR to only scrim DRX and DWG which lets be honest are the only decent team. And for JP teams they can scrim against them in HK servers and both parties will get 40 ping which is low. But yes you made the cost point right because SG will be really expensive if they wanna bootcamp there compared to Korea.

I’m pretty sure they are going there with a focus to play East Asian teams though, especially since they can already scrim against SEA teams with decent ping

Probably specifically going there for DRX, ONS, DK, EDG, Zeta, CR, and Nth if I were to guess
