I'm gonna be honest I'm having a bit of trouble understanding C9's decision to put vanity on initiator and curry on smokes

vanity has spent all of his career playing smokes and curry has played flex

wouldn't they both feel more comfortable if curry switched to initiator and vanity stayed smokes?

I think they know this but from what I know igl switching to flex gives them more control to initiate a play and support team at least what I heard from some igls

Bro anyone can play smokes is a simple role compared to duelist initiator and sentinels. You usually tell ppl to smoke when they're new to valorant or the team in general. Xeta is such a key player for c9 to lose.
I put c9 top 3 with xeta without xeta they're totally unknown factor. They have to rebuild their comps and synergy now.

There's a reason why smokes is the go to role for new cs players .... Nitr0 , ethan, floppy when they switched over to valorant were first put on smokes. Specifically omen or brimstone. Smoking is not hard at all to pick up sure it can have high ceiling to master on an advance level but that's not what i'm saying.

Why are curry and Vanity switching? Curry can play breach, skye, kayo, literally every initiator aside from sova, which C9 already replaced with Fade.

IDK but teams I've seen lately abuse neon on haven and fracture. That's why faze might 2-0 these match.

I think leaf, xeppaa, and curry could all probably play a good enough neon
