Vitality have announced that they will be hosting the second IGNITION series tournament for the European scene: The Vitality European Open. The tournament, which will run from July 5 to July 12, will feature a €15,000 ($16856~ USD) prize pool — the same as the G2 Esports Invitational — with signups for the open qualifier open now on Toornament.

Up to 128 teams will compete in the open qualifier on July 5th, which will be played in best-of-one matches, barring the final qualification rounds, which will be played in a best-of-three. Eight teams will qualify to the main event, who will be split into two best-of-three round-robin groups, with the top two teams in each group qualifying for the playoffs. Group A will play on July 10th, with Group B following on July 11th. On July 12th, the playoffs will play out, consisting of a double-elimination playoffs bracket, with best-of-three matches, alongside a best-of-five grand final.
The €15,000 EUR ($16856~ USD) will be allocated as detailed below:
- 1st: €10,000 EUR ($11237~ USD)
- 2nd: €2,000 EUR ($2247~ USD)
- 3rd-4th: €1,000 EUR ($1123~ USD)
- 5-8th: €250 EUR ($280~ USD)
