Riot is actually screwing over NA scene by this franchising bullshit and this scene is gonna end up just like NA CS, na cs died because valve stopped caring and stopped supporting growth and now its just 3 or 4 actual teams battling for the 1 spot at 16 team major, so as a result a bunch of CS pros just left because it's bullshit. and now NA is getting the minor region treatment with this "Americas league" bullshit, we have nearly 20 big org teams in NA and they are going to give 10 slots to all of the Americas??? why even combine in the first place? NA is much bigger than LATAM (no offense to them but thats the way it is) and brazil is huge as well so why not just have 3 seperate leagues where each region can have more teams in so their regions can actually grow and compete at high levels, LATAM gets fucked the hardest since they will most likely have 2 teams only since they are in between brazil and NA. this shit is just going to kill NA scene and then we will just stop caring and fuck off to content creation or the next big game and this shit will continue to happen

in league they get free imports from oceania but oceania went to asia now

why would NA import? the south america teams are super talented but we have a huge player pool rn and there is massive language barriers between all 3 regions, just doesnt seem viable

It will kill BR too, here we've 7~8 big orgs but probably Riot only will allow 2/3 maximum 4 slots for we. Many popular teams will be out of franchises and exit the scene because T2 isn't profitable and worth to join.

Yes, the ideal slots for Americas League is to be 16~20. 10 NA, 6 BR, 4 LATAM.

Its not only NA, every region will get fucked. Imagine whole Asia + Oceania getting only 10 slots. 20 is atleast minimum they should consider for asia. Ideally It should be 24-32.
For Americas and Europe, It should be 16-24.

APAC will arguably get screwed over harder cause they are trying to include KR, JP, CN (?), VN, PH, HK/TW, TH, ID, MY/SG, OCE, and all of SA into one tiny league

At least in the Americas league, Riot can give good amounts of representation to all regions, but it’s just not physically possible for a region as massive as APAC

At the same time, EMEA has a much larger T2 seen than NA has ever had that will get completely thrown aside by franchising. If anything, NA is the region that franchising actually might have a chance to be effective in

nah bro, and you're comparing all the minor regions with much less teams to NA, we have 27 salaried teams, way more than other region besides EMEA. this will not help at all and will only cripple.
