This is just a clarification for the schedule as it is not on vlr. Vlr shows from ro16.

Open qualifiers for India will be starting today and ro32 will be finished till tomorrow evening (ist). So ro16 should start on 12th May
162 teams have registered and tbh only three teams have a chance to qualify:
ROG Academy
Reckoning Esports
True Rippers

Schedule for open qualifiers for rest of SA is not yet given but according to the website only 30 teams qualified our of India.
Also Orangutan not having 3 Indian players will be playing rest of SA. I believe it will be an easy ride for them in open qualifiers.

The reason why we chose to show the Ro16 is the importance and competitiveness of the teams participating. If we chose to show from Ro162, it will have to justify the amount of manpower and how competitive South Asia is in regard to APAC. It's common practice, not restricted to this event.

yes they have announced there will be a LAN in Chennai only for playoffs (top 6 teams) with audience but only if covid situation at that time allows them to do so.

Yeah ofc but i'd rather send 1 team to bootcamp early and have good setup and not having what happened to you guys last qualifiers where teams had to travel 5 days before the event

i don't think GE can make it this time. Their roster is still not decided ig LightningFast has exams this month so i think they will play with one sub and tbh i just don't they they would make it i think VLT and EG/OGT will make it this time.
