I somehow doubt the developers of this site would implement a totally useless feature, they'd rather spend time working on the "Rankings" tab or optimizing threads, no?

Ah, so the stars are for activity...

Beware the people with a lot of messages and no stars.

Its sort of a form of validity, you get more stars the more you post and more upfrags you get. They can also go down if you get a lot of downfrags tho

Nah, it makes sense that you have no stars because you only have a few messages. So, it's fine. you can click on people's names to see how many posts they have.

Stars don’t mean anything tbh, easy to get as long as you don’t bait and troll every second

Zero stars are typically trolls but also more well known users.
