Not gonna lie 100 fps is dogshit. You should focus on getting a better processor that can do 200+ fps and then get a cheap 144hz monitor

you can def get to diamond on 60fps. there's 0 point in getting above 80 unless you get a 144hz monitor first

Bro im literally almost diamond 3 playing with a 75hz monitor, 50 ping and 80 fps (i limit it)
Ofc if you has a better hz rate its probably easyer, but there is so much high elos playing even with 60hz, dont put limits on yourself because of yours condition, if you really want it you do it bro

he is talking about the difference of getting 200fps vs 60 fps on a 60hz panel. there is a huge difference between those.

yeah the "0 point" part was hyperbole. naturally you do get better frametime with better hardware even if your panel is 60hz, but i don't think that makes enough of a difference to be worth buying alone.

ngl my little cousin plays val on his school laptop with i3 7th gen, intel integrated hd graphics with an avg fps around 35-40 and he did peak silver 3. Im tryna say all what matter is the continuous grind. 100 fps is pretty good.

I have a friend who peaked Plat3 on 40fps60hz during pandemic he was Global Elite(Radiant equivalent) in CS though this was on 240hz in GamingCafe
there are lots of 60fps60hz immortals too obviously its not easy and a bit more difficult but not impossible nonetheless

Not at all.
I have i5 11600kf + GTX 1050 3gb and I play 240fps+ all time.

My fps is 240~500.

I ended last act at Radiant 173 btw.

Honestly I got D3 on 90fps 60hz,
And Immortal 3 on 150fps 144hz

It matters a lil but don't expect a huge difference.

100 fps vs 160-180 does make a difference imo. I have an i3 10th gen with gtx 1650, but due to my ping, i usually limit fps to 144fps to have the most stable performance. Id say 100fps is still good. Maybe you could try completely turning off fps settings to not distract you in the game. You only really need the ping and packet loss features anyways.
