So we will have BR, LATAM and NA in the same league? kinda fucked for orgs to invest in these regions but for me, as a viewer, is awesome.
"The first league will include teams from North America, Latin America, and Brazil. The second will feature squads from Europe, Russia, Turkey, and MENA. The final league will include teams from Southeast Asia, Korea, and Oceania."

The model will introduce a stipend system, contrary to the typical buy-in system seen in the franchised Overwatch League and League Championship Series, in which Riot will provide select teams with financial support to enter a partnership with the company. These teams will then compete in the new respective international LAN tournaments against teams from different regions.

wtf

Can you explain LOL system? How new talents like Trent or whole teams like Guard can fast promote to elite Leauge?

Whole teams probably won't be promoted, but the Regional leagues will allow for players to get scouted by the teams in the International leagues.

Imagine Guard was tier 3 team and made it to tier1 so fast. In franchise reality, some teams just would ve buy Trent and Saya and whole roster would ruined but potentially Guard are Masters and Champion contenders as a team, just need some time. This thing is scary for me. Whole new gambits/guards might be ruined taken one by one players and we will never see what we in open format.

this is actually fantastic. nothing wrong with “inviting” certain teams to events, especially if they’re paying to be there thus ensuring pursuit of quality.

there def needs to be relegations after each season, hopefully a couple open qualifier spots too.

third party tournaments and in-game tournaments (which i assume will be like rocket league lol) are also great for moving the valorant esport scene forward.

From the article he provided, I didn't find it from the riot official but Riot did say they will create long-term partnership with the selected team.

And also the Path to pro sounds interesting, it might be the Fpl of val

Nah, they are similar but still different because there are promotion and relegation, it is most likely Riot ctrl CV the current EMEA VCT to the world

Men my engles is so bad, so it would be three leagues with promotion based on sport achievements? Tsm will pay 10 ml for entry and then will go to bottom league coz they are bad KEKW

wait does this mean the 7 region qualification is going away for masters and is instead looking like the rmr system? (americas, eu, asia) or will the 7 region and rmr quals be for seperate tournaments entirely, im confused

I hate franchises, loved the fact they had full on promotion-relegation system this year.

It'll get stale and boring just like League.

Men Leorge Leddes literally says that rito will pay teams for in leagues instead of org buy slots. So I think rito will promote teams into top tier leagues each year and downgrade teams like tsm into tier 2 league if they in the bottom?
