This Year Riot made the choice to have a LATAM LCQ for Masters. The top 2 teams from BR and LATAM would battle for a spot into masters, instead of giving it directly to BR. I agree with that decision.
Don't you guys think that they should do the same with Asia? Why SEA has 2 spots while KR and JP only have one? Shouldn't they battle it out to see who is qualifying? What Region can bring 2 teams? Those regions are as close to each other as BR is from the rest of LATAM.

I couldn't find any stats on playerbases that are recent. When I google all that comes up is my old post. Which shows that LATAM+BR+NA is quite a bit bigger than SEA. Also, in terms of viewership, APAC preforms pretty damn poorly, NA is in first, followed by EMEA and then Japan.

there's around 1.2 million players in LATAM + Brazil ranked (tracker.gg stats)
there's nearly 3 million in APAC alone.
Last year in Berlin Japan, Korea and SEA had 2 slots each becaus eit was 16 team tournament.
I hope this is gonna be the last 12 team tournament cause 12 is boring and less competitive.
And following your question, i think with more time and less covid restrictions, Riot will do LAN for the challengers like CSGO.
Maybe an Americas, Europe and Asia like the RMR's
