Your thoughts on why Liquid lost?

Liquid lost an unexpected game against Loud. Liquid were clearly the favorites in the matchups and ended up losing to Loud quite significantly. What did Loud do to win one of the biggest esport kingdoms?

Idk man I had them losing that match simply for the reason that Loud has not played internationally so its hard to know what to expect.

well you look at almost all pickems from people that are not biased or not supporting each of the team (Liquid or Loud) most of them said Liquids will win, so I dont know which statement is more far fetched

liquid weren't favorites at all. i feel like most people who knew loud knew that this was going to be a rly close match and knew that loud’s team is one of the best teams in the tournament on paper. the question was if they could perform on lan and with two players separated from the main team. Liquid lost because of some mistakes in the closer rounds and misplays that loud could exploit because theyre both smart and insanely talented. it was a good match but liquid wasnt as consistent as loud is rn.

Loud was clearly better, liquid won 5 pistols and several ecos during this series and couldn't maintain the advantage to win, so there are a lot of factors.

i know favourite is a strong word, but looking at how we have no scene where loud has played exept in the qualis. People would automatically think liquid will win. I am not saying Loud is bad or anything. Its like a surprise like how C9 and The guard came on top like so fast.

no flame TL wasn't even good in the first place, dont forget they failed to qualify 'properly' in the first place, they are just here because FPX cant come

LOUD played better and did well enough so Liquid couldn't really get advantages with the 5 pistols and 5 ecos they’ve won. Even though Liquid obliterated LOUD on Haven, the other two maps were close due to LOUD throwing.
Liquid should not even be at Masters, it’s good that they lost.

if you look at how they play, no way you will say they are favourite. They FAILED to qualify for Masters and only here because FPX cant come. If you take away the name tag, no one will say TL is the top favourite team, ppl say they are favourite just because of the big recognisable names like Niveria, jamppi and scream

i wouldnt call liquid favorites. they are definitely one of the most popular, but if you watch their gameplay, you can often see ego and a lack of patience. i see scream getting traded all the time for no reason. sure dude can frag out, but you gotta convert those frags into wins.
