hhhhh here we go again
Let me make my main point clear since you are just constantly ignoring it, T1 is expanding in NA to gain exposure internationally and attract international sponsors and fanbase. These potentials is what led to t1 and gen.g to do this, and i'm sure they're goal is to reach na vct, which i make my point VERY clear is that i don't agree in the players t1 are contracting, which results in t1 playing these 3rd party tourneys and failing to reach vct, with their money and mangement they could easily contract some pro that have proven themself to have potential.

"On the contrary, T1 are contracting unproven players in NA." ???? yes this is literally the point i am trying to make. Yes, you can mention a lot of FAs and unsigned talent but if you see how incompetent t1 is in picking players, don't you question how they might just ignore those talents and pick up unproven players? Just basing it logically.

T1 is actively seeking fanbase and sponsorships from around the world, instead of only being limited in Korea. In a business point of view, this makes sense for sponsors in many different sectors to hop on t1 due to the diversity of where the teams of t1 hold influence in around the world.

"As you said yourself earlier I think, many viewers follow individual players which my explain the stagnant viewership rates there" I never said this? and if a literal vct masters event is happening during that time people would most definitely watch the masters event instead of the 3rd party event which doesn't mean shit, even regardless of your favorite player wardell or curry is playing in it.
'
I have continually clowned t1 and it's management for their NA val team, absolutely questionable additions and even stranger activities, signing a jett player just for them to play smokes???? like what???

I have nothing against t1 going back to korea, i would instead support it as it grows the region and talent pool. It's t1 as a business choosing otherwise and building international fanbases, such as them having the SEA dota 2 team, or gen.g having an na cs team back in 2020.

You literally said "contracting unproven players may not be the move"... my brain is throbbing or I'm super confused

"T1 is actively seeking fanbase and sponsorships from around the world, instead of only being limited in Korea."

T1's all-Korean league team has sponsors like Nike, BMW, Logitech, Secret Lab, Red Bull, and Twitch. Your logic in that quote above doesn't make any sense since they are getting sponsorship deals with some of the biggest names for their league team, despite it being all Korean. They have proven that they don't need to expand into NA for sponsorship or monetary opportunities.

"many viewers follow individual players... I never said this"

mb I think I confused you with someone else, but my main point that T1 is still getting no viewers in, with or without other events going on, is still there.

"You literally said "contracting unproven players may not be the move"... my brain is throbbing or I'm super confused" yes this is exactly the point im making, contracting unproven players in NA is definitely not the move.

"Your logic in that quote above doesn't make any sense since they are getting sponsorship deals with some of the biggest names for their league team, despite it being all Korean." T1 is arguably the most famous league team ever, it's a no brainer they would get sponsors from big names, unless they replicate it in valorant they wouldn't have a big international fanbase in the game. Expanding to NA for more sponsors is definitely the move to attract way bigger sponsors especially from NA, the pool of diversity in geographic area is there.

"but my main point that T1 is still getting no viewers in" this is most definitely true, and mostly due to the incompetence of t1 management and their handling of valorant in general.

"contracting unproven players in NA is definitely not the move"

nice at least we agree on that. Therefore... they should move to Korea to sign already internationally proven players many of whom are free agents, or just nab them from the Japanese scene :)
There's not that many options left in NA to build a good team from, unless a horde of CSGO players decide to switch over.

T1 has some of the largest companies in the world pumping loads of money into them and yes you are correct, T1 is one of the biggest names in esports so it is easier for them to acquire sponsorship deals. But again, Valorant teams in Korea's relatively tiny scene have big sponsors too as well, DRX has sponsors like Red Bull, Razer, and Porshe. DWK has sponsors like Kia, Adidas, and Logitech.
(also I'm pretty sure once a company sponsors an org, all the teams in that org will honor the sponsorship, not just their league team or any other specific team.)
