Why is RIOT like this? (Masters 1 format)

Top seeded teams of some regions are directly booked into playoffs. So, performing well in the local circuit ensures at least top-8 in an international LAN event. Isn't the purpose of an international LAN event is to pit the top performing regions against each other. How is it logical to secure top 8 without even facing any international competition? Why is the regional result holding that much weight in an international event?

Only EMEA, NA and APAC has seeding matches with NA and APAC having only one seeding match. Is it fair to give some teams such guaranteed positions just so people take the last match seriously? (The concept of seeding match doesn't even apply to LATAM/Brazil)

The qualification of FPX isn't even something huge since they played with 0 pressure while others had tons of pressure. Riot just refuse to be normal.

riot gave playoff slots based on champions performance for regions like APAC and NA. idk why brazil got a free slot even if it was between LATAM and brazil. Even so, it doesnt seem fair at all that there is a chance that the playoffs teams dont play against Japan, Korea, and LATAM.
