Asuna and the future of 100T

quoting my latest thread to see what other people think regarding the 100T situation

"Asuna has a very good game sense, so he probably could fill the secondary entry role with Skye or KAY/O who can be played aggressively or even "duelist like" if needed.
I personally think 100T should try to scout for someone who's capable of being the Jett and the second entry on maps where Raze is the meta pick.
Asuna's Jett is very good tho, but his Raze, even Reyna is S tier. If this is the case, maybe a combo of bang and Asuna, like previously stated, is just the breath of fresh air that 100T need."

Rebuild around Asuna? The guy who played 82 maps of professional Counter Strike? And his greatest accomplishment was finishing 1-2nd in the ESEA NA S33 Premier League?

Imagine you're nitr0, Hiko, even Steel and Ethan. You join a Valorant team and are told that Asuna will be your star player. I don't imagine that inspired much confidence. Maybe that's why they struggled so much and eventually disbanded.

Meanwhile these other guys all had international Tier 1 experience, won LANs, and some played in majors.

I think the role issues still exist within the team…I mean you have Hiko jumping from Sova to Viper to Killjoy on some maps, & Ethan taking Sova on others while being Chamber on some. Then on Icebox he is apparently Omen? I don’t know. I think this time off would be best suited by picking up a coach with a real vision, truly deciding the future of 100T VALORANT roster and all, & pressing forward with that roster for the year.

That being said I think everyone on the current roster is insane, & they all have the ability to surprise us.

i don't think their issue is with the agents but with what they can do as a team, when they play it feels like its a ranked roster, they need to work better on setting up their duelists (bang or asuna) and having a better post plant strategy.

To an extent I would agree, but what you've stated was more of them needing to play those agents, because team was formed in such a short time period.

IMO, there's too much conflict when it comes the way current players on the roster play the game. Them picking up a coach and calling it a day, doesn't really target all of their problems, but you're still right mostly.

Yeah I don’t really mean that the missing piece is a coach or the roster needs an entire rebuild or anything. Just from the 2021 off-season and the 2022 season so far, it seems that the team is really struggling with a vision on what the team should be (roster, roles, & what not) and how they want to play. That’s why I think a lot of their matches have looked like ranked play, really good ranked play but ranked play :)
