Some of you may remember me saying the plan today was to break 5 in the mile.

Well sadly it didn't happen. I was expecting it since it you would mean a 24 second improvement in a week which is insane. However I did pr.

I managed to do the mile in 5:13.

Friday I'm gonna pop off my hardest.

Distance is hard af, not saying sprints are easier but bro my 5:13 mile isn't isn't top 10 for this meet. I need to get below 5:10 to even be in top 10

distance is hard, i remember the distance kids had to do 1400, 1200, 1000, 800, 400, 200 for a workout, all at competition pace

Yeah coaches go crazy. At one point the coach wanted me to do hill repeats for a mile during my recovery 💀

They're over training rn because later on in the season we cut down milage but increase pace. And if we have a really good race while completely worn out then imagine when we taper and we're fully rested. That's the mentality they have for us
