South Asian teams are not directly heading to the playoffs phase. The entire event is called the Asia-Pacific Challengers Playoffs. Aside from PH, we don't know yet how teams will be seeded into the group stage and play-in phases.

direct main event(group stage)
TH #1 #2, PH #1 #2, SA #1, MY/SG #1 #2, ID #1 #2, VN #1, AU #1, HK/TW #1
playins:-
TH #3, PH #3, SA #2, MY/SG #3, ID #3, VN #3, HK/TW #2, VN #2

and then probably 4 teams advance from playins
and there'll be 16 teams in the main event

In a world where South Asian teams have already fought against themselves before coming to APAC
look up VCC format all 7 countries have had their own qualifiers
and even tho SA is much weaker than SEA(2nd best region in the world) they can do decent against regions like KR/JP so 2 slots in playoffs are justified

Nah it is definitely isn't fair. Also it was misconception. No one gets direct slot to Playoffs. It's like EMEA. Each region sends their best and then they compete in group stage to qualify to Playoffs. Don't know what they would do with Playoffs

It's because PH clarified the stages the seeds qualify to but other region just have Playoffs in their slots. But the event itself has Playoffs in its name. So that was his confusion

Think there's a misconception.

As of now, we don't know which or what region gets a direct slot to the Group Stage or the Play-ins. The only, and I mean only reason VLR knew about the PH seedings is because of the detail listed beside the prize pool in their rulebook. Other regions have not yet specified these seedings other than PH. So please, rather than dogpiling and berating each other, just be civil. Is it hard to do?
