baccano (underrated, really recommended)
binbougami ga
hataraku maou-sama
log horizon s1 (only the first season)
amagi brilliant park
shirobako
just pick one of these anime, u won't be disappointed

Technically romantic but not really much of it in the first 2 seasons

Also watch Demon Slayer or AOT or Death note or the classic Samurai X, anime like naruto/one piece will take months to complete or catch up. Also if possible watch Kimi no na wa - it's a movie it's my fav.
I would recommend:
Erased- good story, good characters, animation is really good, great gateway anime for beginners.
91 Days- set in the prohibition era, compelling story and characters, great themes and development. one of the more underrated animes.
Code Geass- one of my all-time favourites. character development is top-notch, the story is really good, themes and ideas are really interesting. give this a watch if you haven't seen it.
