so in a 3 way tie situation where ,
A beat B
B beat C
C beat A
How is the tie handled?
Is it done purely based on map diff--> round diff or the team with the best round diff is separated and h2h is used for the remaining 2 teams. (just like the NS and TLN situation that happened on stage 1).
someone clarify.

in the above situation there's no h2h advantage

The following "Subgroup Tie-breaker Rule" will be applied for 3+ Team tie-breakers:

  • If any Team(s) can be clearly ranked highest based on the given criterion (e.g., head-to-head match score), all teams will be split into two subgroups: the top Team(s) and the remaining Team(s). The remaining Teams are treated as one group, even if they are no longer tied under that criterion.
  • The next tie-breaker criterion (e.g., (2), (3), etc.) is used only when no subgrouping can be made based on the current step.
  • This process is repeated until all Teams are fully ranked

When there is no subgroup determined by h2h, we will use the next criterion (mapdiff) instead

so in Pacific group omega, talon is ranked highest based on the best map diff and new subgroup is created (DFM n T1) , which is resolved using h2h right?

ok thanks! I thought all 3 of them were ranked together based on map diff.

Tiebreaker rules:

Head-to-head Match Score
Head-to-head Map Differential
Head-to-head Round Differential
Map Differential
Round Differential

Be carefull it's not really clear when the bracket reset, so if A > B > C > A, they are a chance if it's end
A +1
C =0
B -1
It's A > B > C

ok so A wins the 3 way tie , then it's just h2h for the rest

It's not clear in the rulebook, and it will depend on admin interpretation
