in my opinion, riot hasn't done a good enough job of differentiating champions from the masters events, they feel basically the same
Typical_NA_Fan [#5]If they are the same then no need to watch this one...
IMO whoever wins this one will be regarded as the best team of the year and get more hype than SEN or GMB.
VS is going to be the team of the year Pog
ItsMeDio [#7]they feel basically the same
new skin
new song
new stage (probably)
higher prizepool
promotion video (na/tural, etc)what else do you expect
ballatw also said that he’s heard that they’re planning some crazy things out with the production and if they pull it off it’s gonna be incredible

Noone12 [#15]Man that opinion sucks.

The major was in Sweden where the covid situation is better than in Germany.

CS had another lan in denmark, even LVP had a valorant tournament in Spain, riot had plenty of options and plenty of time to organize an event with crowd
Problem is that the scene has an event like every 3 months, its actually ridiculous. They need an event every month to have the most important events actually feel important. Anyone remember those short $10k or whatever events they had really frequently during the start of valorant? Those had so much hype with TSM vs SEN. If they created a system like CS RMR system where those events gave a small amount of points and the big international events gave a large amount of points all leading up to the biggest event it would feel like its way more hyped. Rn the scene just feels kinda dead because of events being so infrequent. With that said you also dont want it to end up like CS with a weekly tier 1 event.

Do you mean riot should have used there Astra brain to predict whether cases will increase in Berlin before months
deathlyclaws [#26]Do you mean riot should have used there Astra brain to predict whether cases will increase in Berlin before months
Are you really that dumb to believe that riot couldnt get a location with crowds if they wanted to? U think they judt booked berlin for fun knowing they cant have a crowd? They stated multiple times and it should get quite obbious that they put staff and players health on the highest priority and that they dont wanna risk anything by having a crowd.

you clearly have a ton of experience organizing globally broadcast events internationally and are not at all a mom's-basement dwelling gamestop assistant managing troglodyte

whoever wins this will not be regarded as the best of the year, just the best in december lmao
valorant esports is way too volatile, whoever wins this tournament will fall off within 2 months and the top 5 will be entirely different

fax i agree,
sentinels will be playing two major tournaments in a row with no officials in between, kinda annoying

That's not true. The team that wins this tourney is going to be called the best until they get dethroned at next year's event. That has to be the way.
