Masters has around the same prize pool + way more prestige (players would much much rather have a masters trophy than an ewc trophy)
Compare the viewers of ewc to masters, clearly most people feel the same way
If you wanna talk about the tournament itself, its schedule is horrible, the meta was rolled back, and format was absymal (online qualifiers and BO1s), production was ass, I could go on and on
Compare the hype of this to the hype of a masters. It's really not comparable in the slightest. I don't think it's mickey I think it's not equal to a masters.
you can argue that it is less valuable than a circuit event, since valorant is still a closed circuit. i agree with that. but its still a major by definition. if viewers didn't care (i, for starters, havent watched a single game) and teams didn't take much seriously, thats on them.
also its the first EWC event, of course theres format and production problems, its normal
