I think the Phantom right now is wayyyyy better than a Vandal, a good change would be that the bullet Tracer from the Phantom would show too, or at least give the Vandal 30 Shots and the Phantom 25 Shots, the Phantom spam through smokes is way too good.

nah i don't think the vandal should have any advantages over phantom besides damage. that would defeat the whole point. besides, i think rifle use is pretty balanced right now, i see people using a bit of both.

Yeah, if you are confident in your aim and ability to one tap take vandal otherwise take phantom, both serve their purpose quite well

this is so true, vandal dominates across ranked and pro play and all the "analysts" keep talking about how much better the phantom is lol. even ta lot of top smoke and cypher players still use vandals

Definitely doesn't 'dominate'. It's 55/45 towards the vandal as far as post-champs stats I've seen from 1-2 years ago. There's definitely a good incentive to use the phantom over the vandal in plenty of scenarios and while playing plenty of roles. Most controllers, Cypher, and even duelists have lots of reasons to use the phantom.

And honestly, I see way more phantoms in pro player than I do ranked, to your point.

The easy spam kills are too valuable with tracers not being visible

dont get me wrong i rly like the phantom. t3xture nats and buzz famously use the phantom. but i mean top controller and cyphers have used a lot of vandal (which seems kinda stupid) like tenz less and mindfreak.
what i rly mean is that illogical preferences such as being used to the AK in cs, preferring the "1 tap at all ranges" despite the massive benefits of a phantom or even just skins are factors that influence the pickrate even in pro play

also about the stats, champs23 had twice as much vandals picked.

I think tuning the vandal a tad bit would be nice. Cause the advantage over phantom in half armor meta is gone. You can 1 tap with phantom at long range if they have half which the vandal usually was preferred then cause it did the same damage
