im probably gonna buy some tickets for toronto and i have some questions (i have not been to any similar events before)

  • how fast does grand finals sell out
  • do the seating tiers actually matter or should i just buy the cheapest tickets
  • how early do people usually arrive before the games, ive heard some teams have booths? or smth similar
  • do we know what local time the actual games start
  • how strict is the "no outside food/beverage" rule, do i have to buy overpriced water in the venue
  • whats the chance i actually show up on the stream (i hate seeing my face lmao) and where do people get the sign things
  • dumb question but how loud is it actually in the venue

i went to champs seoul last year, the grand finals sell out kinda fast i'd say u have like 2 minutes to get the first wave of tickets but don't let that freak you out.

  • riot does a couple waves for tickets to get rid of bot ticket scalpers

  • the seat tier doesn't matter as much the higher the tier the closer to the players you are viewing experience is still the same, I sat in tier 4 for grand finals and lowers and it was still great (heres proof: https://imgur.com/a/TW2x2fY)

  • they only put ppl that like hard overreact or have funny signs or moments on the screen so u should be fine just don't clip farm

  • we went pretty early but regardless they have a certain time the doors open, there was a fan event before to meet players but you will see them around the event anyways towards the last days.

  • also u can only buy 4 tickets at a time just incase ur buying for a big group let them know,

  • in terms of how loud it is, it isn't too bad definitely depends on the team, when we watched LEV V TH it wasn't too loud, but EDG v TH it was pretty loud

  • for the outside food, they are strict they will catch you. You cant even bring cameras in, but I'm a genius and snuck my camera into my pants

I went to champs in LA. Both lower final and upper final. It was my first time at an actual event and it was pretty dang good.

I'll do my best to answer what you had with my experiences:

  • I bought both day tickets through seat geek, upper final was significantly more expensive than lower final.
  • Lower finals I sat in 2nd level, it was fine. Upper finals decided to ball out and go lower level, was worth the extra imo. My suggestion buy what you can afford.
  • We arrived about an hour and half to check out what was outside the venue, gekko had just been launched so was cool to see the gekko shit
  • Yes the games started on time.
  • I honestly don't remember the policies in LA, we just bought food at venue.
  • Both days I was there, didn't make it on stream.
  • It was loud, EG for both lower and upper final - NA crowd.

If you're considering going, do it. It's worth it, I also am considering going to Toronto. The vibes are good.
