what's your rig specs and how many FPS do you get in val?

so my lil bro was using my old pc, Ryzen 3 2200g - 16gb - rx 570, decent enough to run val with 200fps back when i was using it in 2021.
but then lately the fps almost halved, now it only can run val about 100-120fps, sometimes even dipped to 80fps in chaotic scenario.
anyone have this kinda problem also? because my current rig does not have it.

val is naturally getting heavier, your poor bro will have to adapt only 80 fps, poor guy

regardless, check if he's installed anything that uses up too many of his pc's resources

Val is slowly getting harder to run every year and that cpu was a very low budget option from 7 years ago. But fortunately you're already on the AM4 socket so it will be very easy to upgrade depending on what motherboard you have. I recommend upgrading to ryzen 5 3600 or 5500 if you're on a budget and it will doubled or maybe even tripled the current fps.

i checked everything, nothing sus.
yeah maybe it's getting too old to run even val in 144 fps. his monitor kinda wasted, being 165hz.

my current PC is rocking 5500, so i might just get a 5600x next month and give the 5500 to my bros rig.

riot keeps bloating their game with hundreds of cosmetic assets without optimizing them, so it's bound to happen down the line.

this game rely on CPU not GPU, i switch my pc from (12400f+1060-5, 280FPS) to (9600X+4060ti, 650FPS). Riot switch Dx11 to Dx12, so old CPU and GPU would be worst than before with this game's update.
