i'd suggest start watching the game with your eyes, demon1 can smoke and dash on jett but so can anyone in immortal+, jawgemo did all the advanced pathings for EG
on NRG his first few matches were against BR teams where his team dominated and he still had mid utility usage.
The truth is they used to rotate the controller role from demon1, jawgemo, and boostio depending on the map. on raze maps, jawgemo would play her and demon1 would play controller. Otherwise demon1 would play a more baity role on jett and jawgemo or boostio would be playing smokes. I think this argument just stems from demon1 struggling to get good with raze (which he never played on EG btw) and also mental/personal issues, especially in 2024. I think people are too quick to write him off as washed but will be pleasantly surprised in split 1 if he has gotten good with raze by now, or if he has just dropped it entirely.
Dwag click on the context, windwine was talking about how demon1's personal affected his gameplay and I replied "NRG playstyle had demon1 to take first engagement/ hard entry role, that does not suit his playstyle of getting impact kills in mid round and late round scenarios, that's why he performed very bad. Its about demon1 performance not about how EG won Champs
It's a litte bit of both, I think demon1's mental and personal issues did affect his gameplay a lot. But you are also right too in which demon1 as a hard entry doesn't really maximize his strengths as a player. I think he's still capable of playing entry tho, it's just his duelist agent pool that feels limited. Also I feel like he could play controller or sentinel quite well, because as you said, he could be getting lots of impact kills in the late rounds instead of dying first.

Anyways these stats mean nothing as first kills don't = an entry most of the times. Watch the games instead of calculating the stats in vlr pages.
