valo has a big advantage which is all regions can beat each other, if we had independent big tournaments like in cs would be fire. and a lot more matches aswell.

Riot will never do it themselves because of money, and they have too big an ego to let a 3rd party organize an event.

A problem of CS for me is that most tournaments and matches are forgettable and the weight of the big games is lighter because the best teams play against each other all the time and losing a tournament there is ok because next week they will have another one so who cares.

the Major have their own qualify events, so your performances throughout the year doesnt really matter.

In VCT most matches are important because your season and Champions qualification depends of every game and the big games are BIG games. Riot does everything prioritizing the show for the spectator. Quality > Quantity

Now that I think about it, high stakes is better. I still think a bit more games would be nice, since with the kickoff format some teams only get to play 2 games and get insta-eliminated then have to wait a couple months for season to start.

The evolution series in China is a great way and if other regions did it I don't think there would be a lot to complain about anymore
