Yeah right, the moment your " fix " is about riot losing money or even any mention about teams etc spending money, consider those will never happen at all.
Seen way too many "fixes" with unrealistic demands.
efweema [#2]why you acting like girly just say it under his post

What are the perks of being an open slot?
IonlywatchvcjXD [#6]What are the perks of being an open slot?
it's mostly teams from tier 2. So we have seen teams like g2 hit the ground running almost immediately at franchising, right? Imagine if the leftover players, who got kicked from franchising last year, assembled tier 2 mixes, grinded quals and then got back into franchising. Makes up for a cool story, literally resurrected, back from the dead. CS' best intake is thru open quals, teams like passion ua or gamerlegion are essential to the scene cuz they bring new talent and serve as a transition bridge to tier 1. GamerLegion is a very good example
their fairy tale run at paris 2023 resulted in iM going to navi, where he became a top 20 player in the world and siuhy going to mouz, where he became top 5 igl in the world. Then they did smart business and next year sold fl4mus for a million to virtus pro. Now they got PR and REZ and they are a solid top 15 team in the world.
TL;DR Being an open slot, while not being guaranteed, allows you to get into tier 1 by just being good. You don't need to wait a year just to have 1 event to decide if you go or not. You get a chance to get at 4 international events, compete with the best, and maybe attract a bigger org to sign you

I made a video about this but now I'm not fully agree with it, that would just make the slice smaller in America and in China, we need to find a way to add more ascention team in T1, and we need to include region that are not represented in franchise, MENA, VN, OCE, it can be threw having 16 team in every region, but that would mean reducing the slice for team that are already here in Amer and in China since (beside maybe LAN) they are no new market to conquer. Maybe the solution is just to add a 5th region between Europe and Korea

between Europe and Korea and China? So stretching from Iran to Japan? Seems crazy to me. I would say that you host open quals in underrepresented regions, as well as the main regions, and just force them to play. Sooner or later the scenes will catch up and we might get an OCE team, a MENA team, simply cuz they play with their competition

With all of them having 4 ascention team : no subergion could have more than 3 ascention teams (Or even 2 if we want to be even more restrictive),
Anguibok [#11]
- Pacific : Korea (3), Japan (2), Taiwan (1), Oceania (1), and maybe Mongolia (No idea to who to give to their last spot
- Europe : Europe, Magrheb, Turkey
- Asia : CIS (1, 2 would have been better, but they will have a lot of ascention team anyway), MENA (1), SA (1), SEA (5, ID, MYSG, TH, PH, VN)
- Americas : NA (4), BR (2), LAN (1), LAS (1)
- China : China (8)

asia seems way too big, how about 6 regions?

That mush big ? If I look at the datas it the smallest region by far :/
Number of premier team after 6 week
Americas : 9414 premier team
Europe + TR : 9442 premier team
KR+JP+OCE : 9479 premier team
ME+SA+SEA (SEA with TW) : 3524 premier teams
CIS would need to be 5000 teams to match other regions :/

Riot will incur more cost just by adding more teams, it won't happen
Invic_Deep [#9]you have to have 2 VCT Pacific first up and then have something like 6+6 or atleast 8+4 slot system in every VCT league
8 and 6 franchised team in a 12 team franchise system cannot offset the lost that is valorant esport it seems 😂
BananaBezos1 [#16]just add more tournaments, what the fuck is this 5 month offseason +1 regional circle + 1 more international tournament
Just get a 3rd party and let them do whatever tf they wanted at this point, riot just need to sell the license, audit the 3rd party and let them handle things by themselves lol
IonlywatchvcjXD [#17]8 and 6 franchised team in a 12 team franchise system cannot offset the lost that is valorant esport it seems 😂
I mean Riot has to part with money but this way they can run on current costs atleast when it comes to stipend they pay -franchised teams will still be 12 and 12 more will get chance plus regions like OCE,VIET will also find representation while regions like India, Ph who have lots of orgs will get to field 2 teams .

Only chance for OCE and India to have representation in T1 is to have a franchised team. Giving 6 ascention spot in APAC will just result in having too many Korean team. We need both more franchise team that represent market that doesnt have a spot yet (OCE, VN, MENA, CIS), but also more ascention team, and less franchise team in saturated market (NA, BR, CN)
