G2 Actual Truth

Throughout history, we forget that G2 has 5 chokers.

1 - Valyn - biggest choker. Improved a lot, but same habits of choking as an IGL in finals.
2 - Trent - always chokes against better and stronger teams in the finals, habits haven't changed.
3 - JonahP - becomes complete useless against stronger teams/players when reaching playoffs.
4 - Leaf, - greatest player since C9 days but always somehow chokes and never wins a title for some reason, the pattern is real.
5 - Jawgemo - Makes tons of mistakes. Never successful as a solo duelist, proven and shown in beginning of EG days. Was only successful after Demon1 started for EG.

Best NA team, the fact that it went three maps, and also that they are actually here shows they aren’t frauds. No one here is frauds, to say so is incompetent levels of IQ.

Tbf they lost both pistols, a bonus and a 1v4 and still won Pearl. Give them credit where it’s due — most teams would not convert those anti-ecos. Even Bind wasn’t that bad given they weren’t favored and again lost both pistols.

I feel like it's kinda crazy to say that . I just think edg play better and their map pool is insane now imo. G2 went thru a lot to get back to tier 1 (had to go thru a whole year os ascension) and got first in NA. They're a good team and I prefer them over others in Americas atm.

EDG is very good. I give them props. I thought they were frauds and they are actually really good. I accept that I was super wrong. But i think people understate how much of an advantage it is to have more than double the prep time of every other region. Clearly trace didn’t take advantage of it. But clearly EDG did. They have changed every map we’ve seen. I hope for a rematch in playoffs with more footage and a more even playing field. G2 got guy diff’d but I think with equal prep this match is a lot more even. Especially given how anti heavy g2 are.

Didn't the team said they didn't have extra prep time, only extra rest time? Cuz China takes their New Year event very seriously, they are obligated to rest or something.

I mean, what I heard on sliggy’s stream is they celebrated for 2-3 days only. Then that makes another 11-12 days to prep. This is all based on sliggys insight, which I trust. But according to him the time the other regions would’ve had, particularly emea and Americas would’ve only been 2-3 days with all the travel and media days. EDG had a total of 26 days between the GF and their first match. If we just assume they have the same travel time as NA(they don’t) and celebrate for 5 days (apparently they didn’t). Then the worst case scenario for EDGs prep time would be around 12 days-ish. That’s still 9-10 more days than G2/Sen. That is plenty of time to change everything they had. Which they clearly just about did. I’m not trying to take away from what EDG is doing. Because they do look insane. But to have a region with that much more time to completely change everything is a little wild imo.

Yep. You don’t change your comps on three different maps (as far as we’ve seen) Split, Fracture, and Pearl without extra prep time.
