When t1 upset GenG in last years stage 1 playoffs, they sent GenG to the lower bracket to play against DRX, who GenG then beat to make Shanghai. This prompted DRX to drop stax and probably also contributed to them dropping buzz, who both joined t1. So if you think of it, even though t1 bombed out of Shanghai, that one upset allowed them to make Bangkok. MY MIND IS BLOWN.
