2023: sign optic core + ardiss + s0m, are good in the beginning of the year despite a shaky midseason, get grouped by the “worst” team at champs
2024: let s0m and fns go, decide to sign two other world champs plus marved. get called a super team and are hyped to no end. make no internationals and end up blowing up the roster in stage 2
2025: keep s0m and fns, sign two promising rookies, win in the offseason and look incredible. bomb out at kickoff and kick the coach and one of the star players

C9 is the most unlucky org to me. Detect Tenz and lend it to Sen that did good and find themself in a situation where either they keep Tenz and attire hate of every NA fans, or loose on of best player in world. Hire Yay next week Chamber get giganerf and all their gameplay and system for the year have to change. Then get out by EG and would probably be in world if EG wasn't become one of best team in a short space (and get out with an OT)

Ngl at the same time they're also at fault for a lot of things they recycle players and also they're the ones to sign yay and then bench him after 2 games and then lie about the real reason (there literally weren't role issues) there's a reason why people don't like c9

They didn’t find tenz he was signed as a content creator from their cs team. Signing a mid cs player and having him turn into one of the biggest Val pros is pretty lucky.

Chamber got nerfed 3 months before yay was dropped. C9 wasn’t really blind sided by this change, they just seemed to have no faith in the team and dropped yay because he wasn’t worth the price for the results they were getting.

And ? What is important here is that they sign a Chamber main in order to make a gameplan around him playing Chamber... To get destroyed by a change of meta.

They got 1.2 mil from sen for his buyout and knowing that tenz contract renegotiations would have probably commanded a yay level salary c9 were probably looking to drop him, especially with tenz’s discontent with the orgs construction of teams. C9 made a huge profit instead of having to drop tenz like they did yay for no value.
