We can’t discuss it because of the no politics rule, but I can say there are questions around the ethics of how it is funded.

You cant realistically have a world cup based on countries considering the valorant schedule. There would be no time to prac and build chemistry; the even would turn into a complete mickey mouse the likes of which valorant has never seen before. Maybe it would be fun but i doubt many people will waste precious champs prac time to go an attend a 0 prestige tournament

Fuck chemistry. They don't have time to build chem in national team sports and football worldcup either but it's fun regardless. It could be done in the offseason, people would rep their national teams. It's gonna be lit, esports is an entertainment business as long it's fun it's gucci to me. What tf they have now is much worse cuz it competes with VCT in a way.

Its a tournament that already existed before, but they changed the name for pure dishonest marketing reasons. You will check out Esports WORLD CUP and expect to be the best players from each COUNTRY playing in a huge tournament, but then its just another tournament with normal Valorant teams like any other. A completely soulless event fully guided by political and economical reasons that has nothing to do with e-sports.
