maybe riot chose ge because of stability or reliability because some teams who had the most money didnt get to franchise in other regions
i dont know much about the indian scene though

GE is legit fine as an org. they have clearly made an effort and hosting their off season tournament is good for the scene too
their teams are just bad but they are literally pacific's eg, they get the scraps

GE spends $2m to just build a base camp in South Korea. Can other Indian clubs do the same?

GE was chosen because of indians because people showed alot of support for skrossi that's it nothing global esports did stands out from what other orgs are doing it was the original roster that got the fans backing them especially skrossi if you've been around that long then you know what i'm talking about global esports is nothing but a joke now

I am an OG here from the time DM played for GE lol but yess Skrossi's popularity was certainly one of the reasons. I still remember those days before Skrossi had played international nd choked :( we used to have Valcomp sub full of Skrossi ranked highlights

So, you’re alleging that GE and Riot had some sort of arrangement? Is that correct?

RVNT and VLT were only involved in Valorant moreover GE was a very big org especially in Korea they had an Overwatch roster who participated internationaly and they also had a roster in Korea before they had one in India

S8UL is literally the biggest eSports org in India. But even they know investing Indian valorant yields no result or maybe they aren't interested in PC Esports. Although, I would like Thug and Goldy to venture into this.

Bro there is hardly any org in India that can spend even bare minimum money for vct.
1 mil dollar is not something orgs in India can bear.
Not even the orgs you have mentioned above.
That to with no guarantee on return.
Rnt, vlt don't have the connection. Also rnt started late unlike ge.
Ge already has the experience of running a international roster.
Look at how miserably vlt 2023 international roster failed.
Only entity is good enough other than ge to be a vct org, but they didn't invested in valorant.

Actually no, the pc scene has grown considerably since the inception of Valorant and is growing more and more , unlike 4-5 years ago during the inception of Valorant , more orgs are growing and Opening in India to participate in valo and pc games , so no it won't be dead

Your naming orgs that compete in bgmi mostly or other mobile games and not pc games , these orgs expenditure is like 20-30% of what is required for PC games like valorant , except for GE only vlt was suitable for picking up but idk if they applied for franchising or not ,plus at that time most of these orgs were like so new to the scene ( like 2 years into eSports ) that riot wouldn't trust them enough as sustainability was a big part of franchising teams , and in India so many people are more into mobile eSports than PC eSports, and so investing in pc doesn't give them the returns they want.
