Probability and Statistics Final Exam
Exam Instructions:
Complete all sections.
Show all work and provide explanations where required.
You may use your TI-84 calculator for computations.
Each section is weighted equally unless otherwise stated.

Unit 1: Organization of Data
Part A: Frequency and Relative Frequency Distributions
Given the data set below, create a frequency and relative frequency table:

Data: 2, 4, 4, 6, 8, 8, 8, 10, 10, 10, 10
Interpret the relative frequency table: What percentage of the data falls below 6?

Part B: Graphs and Charts 3. Create a histogram for the following class limits: 0-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20. Use the data: 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 13, 15, 18, 20.
Draw a circle graph (pie chart) to represent the following distribution:

A: 25%, B: 35%, C: 15%, D: 25%
Construct a stem-and-leaf plot for the following data: 12, 15, 22, 25, 32, 35, 42, 45, 52, 55.

Unit 2: Quantitative Measures
Part A: Measures of Central Tendency 6. Calculate the mean, median, and mode for the data set: 3, 7, 7, 10, 12, 13, 18.
If the mean of a data set is 50 and there are 10 data points, what is the sum of the data values?
Part B: Measures of Dispersion 8. Calculate the range, variance, and standard deviation for the data set: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20.
Part C: Percentiles and Quartiles 9. Find the 25th and 75th percentiles for the data: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20.
Part D: Box-and-Whisker Plots 10. Create a box-and-whisker plot for the data: 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15.

Unit 3: Probability
Part A: Complements, Odds, and Laws 11. If the probability of event A is 0.7, what is the complement of A?
Calculate the odds in favor of rolling a 4 on a standard die.

Determine if the following events are mutually exclusive: Event A = “draw a red card” and Event B = “draw a king.” Justify your answer.

Part B: Conditional Probability 14. A bag contains 3 red marbles and 5 blue marbles. If one marble is drawn at random, what is the probability it is red? If it is not replaced and another marble is drawn, what is the probability it is red?
Part C: Counting Principles 15. How many different ways can 5 books be arranged on a shelf?
A committee of 3 people is to be selected from a group of 10. How many different committees can be formed?

Unit 4: Discrete Probability Distributions
Write a probability table for rolling a standard die.

Use the binompdf function on the TI-84 to calculate the probability of exactly 3 successes in 5 trials where the probability of success is 0.4.

A hypergeometric distribution is defined with N = 20, K = 8, and n = 5. Calculate the probability of exactly 2 successes.

Unit 5: Continuous Probability Distributions
For a normal distribution with mean μ = 50 and standard deviation σ = 5, find the z-score for X = 60.

Calculate the area under the normal curve to the left of z = 1.5.

Find the value of X such that the area to the left under the curve is 0.9 for a normal distribution with μ = 100 and σ = 15.

Unit 6: The Central Limit Theorem
A sample of size n = 50 is drawn from a population with μ = 100 and σ = 20. What is the standard deviation of the sampling distribution?

Use the Central Limit Theorem to find the probability that the sample mean is greater than 105.

Unit 7: Confidence Intervals
Construct a 95% confidence interval for the mean when n = 40, μ = 60, and σ = 10.

For a small sample (n = 15), construct a 90% confidence interval for the mean using a Student’s t-distribution.

If p-hat = 0.6 and n = 100, construct a 99% confidence interval for the population proportion.

Unit 1: Organization of Data
Part A: Frequency and Relative Frequency Distribution
Let's create a frequency table for: 2, 4, 4, 6, 8, 8, 8, 10, 10, 10, 10
ValueFrequencyRelative Frequency211/11 ≈ 0.091422/11 ≈ 0.182611/11 ≈ 0.091833/11 ≈ 0.2731044/11 ≈ 0.364
To find the percentage of data below 6:
Add relative frequencies for 2 and 4:
0.091 + 0.182 = 0.273 or 27.3%

Unit 2: Quantitative Measures
For the data set 3, 7, 7, 10, 12, 13, 18:
Mean = (3 + 7 + 7 + 10 + 12 + 13 + 18) ÷ 7 = 70 ÷ 7 = 10
Median = 10 (middle value)
Mode = 7 (appears twice)
For a data set with mean 50 and 10 points:
Sum = mean × n = 50 × 10 = 500
For the data set 4, 8, 12, 16, 20:
Range = 20 - 4 = 16
Mean = 12
Variance = Σ(x - μ)²/n = 40
Standard deviation = √40 ≈ 6.32

was his only option because the team he was reported to sign with got kicked out of VCT. He built the team around him so the players are handpicked.

they trained like 1 week in off season and 1 day on LA, they ill not do anything at kick off. The rookies were clearly really nervous Mr.cassava(cortezia) was not hitting shots.
