my question is what if an academy team does qualify for ascension? could the academy team be sold to a different org so they could play in ascension? (assuming that the original org is willing to let go of the academy team)
i said they wont contend in ascension, thus cant contend t2 because the most competitive tournament of tier 2 circuit is ascension in fact because its the only t2 tourney with LAN matches
i mean that's just not true is it? all splits are tier 2 so even if ascension is most competitive or the best quality, others are still considered tier 2.
but contending means you aiming for the best and even if they have the individual qualities to be the best they cant contend for 1st place ascension, its actually a issue imo because vct is LAN and academy players wont be able to play on LAN at all unless they go to off season tourneys
reduxx is not replacing anyone, atleast not this year.
im just excited since nightz1x is a young prospect who can be developed into a superstar if done properly. what better way than to play under tier 1 pros?
It is a W that they all have a home to play all year round in but knowing that none of them are envisioned to get into the main team is fkd besides reduxx ofc
they get to showcase their skills, a year can change everything brother, eg players were considered tier 2 at the start of 23, now they're established.
see how getting a stage to show their skills can do wonders for players careers?
That's why they made the buyout so low, so that other teams could pick them up. Cubert Academy is giving Reduxx a way to practice while giving other players a chance to prove themselves.
It was actually just going to be a team for that one tourney they played. They saw the reaction from the community and decided to make an actual academy team. Reduxx was going to be on a T2 on loan otherwise
it has to be the oxg core (at least 3 players) to keep the challengers spot so itll be reduxx skuba and dapr as dapr was scrimming with reduxx. Other than that maybe tdawgg and nightz?
