No , Derke best duelist all time , Derke imo was 2nd best duelist in the world in 2021 , he was 3rd best Duelist / Chamber player in 2022 , best in 2023 for most of the year , best performing duelist in 2 international events . No player has been consistent in valorant . Aspas didnt play t1 in 2021 , he was inconsistent but good in 2022 , prolly 3rd best player in 2023 , 2nd best player in the world . Aspas has a higher ceiling but Derke has a higher floor .
Stats aren't everything. When your sentinel player is doing entry aspas will be trading and still getting fk . Go watch the actual matches from champs . Specially the attack side .
Duelist role is there for a reason. If your sentinel is dying early then you lose important utility for late round. Duelist should be the tip of spear . And there are so many instances where aspas would go for exit frags , no champs duelist would do that even if it's a disadvantage clutch . " If you are in a disadvantageous clutch , you gotta do jump peek and take engagements . If you're not doing that then you're not playing for win "
players from VARIOUS teams have said that if they know aspas is holding a site then the strategy will shift to the other site, if you know valorant you know that if someone by himself is able to hold a site than the sentinel player should hold the other, tex is an aggressive sentinel and so if more people come to fight him first rather than aspas then it is self explanatory why tex had more first combats, as mini, fnc coach said, aspas lets the kills come to his awp, derke, zekken and other go for the kills

Aspas dropping 47 kills on raze against prime Sentinels is just one of his many accomplishments and it made a lot of noise cause Sentinels were the recent Master Winners and a single player destroyed them.
Thats why hes "been the best" since 2022. Many players falloff after one good tournament or one good season, but Aspas dont. 3 years at the top of the game individually and with the teams he played with since he started. The only revisionism is pretending that his GOAT convo only started in the middle of 2024.
