What's with all the flair hating recently?

I never thought I would say this but I miss the days where people got harassed on this site based on their flag or their terrible takes. Why is there like a flair war going on right now? Like, if someone disagrees with someone else, even in a completely unrelated topic to the team in question: "your team sucks they should disband", and then 5 other people appear flaming each other's chosen teams to cheer for instead of arguing about whatever the actual issue or topic was. I'm not saying that we should go back to being xenophobic or racist, but... the flair hate is getting so boring.

cuz ppl know they are wrong but always try to bring up flairs as an excuse (for absolutely no reason and means absolutely nothing)
