They want juicy gambling/betting advertisement money but when a player bets on a completely different game , they get fined . (* Benjy reported himself and th reported it to riot so it's okay in that sense, that they had to act on it because it's in the rules but goddam why it's in the rules in 1st place . That too for a completely different game )

its possible for the players to be in cahoots with each other if they're in the same org
I think this benjy case is a case of the ruling being a bit too strict, but I guess if you don't apply the rules even in small cases it sets a bad example

Understandable for valorant , but why for other games

usually players for the same org (even different orgs sometimes) use the same facilities
for example I think last week Rossy was talking about how he was gym buddies with faker
(the story is a bit more detailed, like Rossy didn't know he was training with faker but it shows how close the players can get with each other)

League is also a Riot game. It just looks shady to have pro players on a franchised team making money from bets, regardless of the specifics
