is mako still the goat or karon clears him?
iamstarsoul [#2]is that even a question??? played in t1 without prior experience, reached two of the 3 grand finals in his rookie year, won an international major, is consistent 9 out of 10 times and arguably best controller in game rn... ofc karon clears him
basing player quality on international success in a 5v5 team shooter is one of the most disingenuous things you can do in rankings
there's a difference if someone's a "choker", but Mako has never had a team at a similar caliber around him after 2022, and in that year they made 3rd place champs
Every year after that has been someone fucking over his team one way or another

I don't fully agree with starsoul's point but I think your point kinda diminishes the strength of VS/early DRX. it was possible for them ngl. also Karon is a star on that Gen G and he has performed on par with mako if we compare those peak iterations of geng and drx. both are great I think karon might make a claim for the top after 2025 if they maintain their form

karon has never performed on par with prime mako
