Is Yoru the best duelist rn?

With Raze, Jett and Neon nerfs , they are much much weaker than their prime post Chamber meta. Yoru otoh have not been nerfed at all.. And with the phoenix buff(the wall is very huge, walling aside ,theres also a funny gimmick use of it to cancel sova and gecko drones..) are we going to see Yoru Phoenix meta?

Loud did really well with phoenix back in early 2024, and Yoru has appeared as second duelist in some niche maps.. so there's precedent atleast

Saying that Yoru is gonna be meta is like saying PRX might finally win a trophy, it isn't gonna happen / come into existence.

yoru is a niche agent, used specifically as flash initiator who can give entries/play agro, if you need util you play kayo, if you need more individual plays you play your, i don't think yoru can be "THE DUELIST" like jett raze neon

Yoru is very good and I think we will see it used far more in pro play, but I would still expect to see majority raze and jett considering how strong they are. As for phoenix, I have no idea if we will see it in pro play very often

raze is the best overall with fracture, split, bind, lotus looking like must pick maps but yoru is very good as a main duelist on haven abyss pearl as main duelist for slower teams and on split and bind as a second duelist for double dive

jett and raze nerf?

I think of yoru as an initiator more than a duelist. Even with the nerfs a movement duelist will always be superior.

we have this conversation every year, when is he going to be a meta really ? i lost all hope, duelist without movement skills sucks, no matter how many buff they put on phnx, yoru, iso and reyna doesn't make them viable at tournament, theyre 2nd duelist at best

honestly, it might be with how the map pool for the next patch is. I mean some teams have been using yoru on abyss and bind. he might also replace neon because she got nerfed on the 2 new maps coming in (fracture and sunset)

jett is still the best imo, you can just dash into the safety of your smoke but raze and yoru dont have that luxury

i think yoru is a good ini agent,not a real entry duelist,so cant replace raze or jett in two site map,but FNC haven comp,yoru+iso more base on IGL and derke and alf's solo ability to help them get map control and good default.

We need more top duelists to put in the hours for it to become meta. It has potential given the shear utility gap but it takes a lot of time to master and is less forgiving than Jett/Raze.
