On twitter or x the penguin valorant fella said that clove is a big benefactor of the ping reworks and that clove is on the "monitor list" knowing riot expect another clove nerf following like 3-4 weeks after patch 10.0

yes but since its specifically smokes on retake that are much better, clove being the only agent that can place smokes when dead is more disproportionately benefitting of these changes.
clove does not need to worry about sitting behind their entire team doing nothing while they retake so they still have smokes for when spike is tapped

i was thinking there could be a 10-15 second delay after they die to the time they could place smokes could be good, so at least if they die retaking there will a delay until the team can benefit from the smokes (and 10-15 second is a LONG time) on a site retake

Clove is really unrderestimate, and her passive might be the reason why she is really broken
the passive is EXTREMELY underrated, and with ping nerfs its just going to get like 5x better
they definitely need to be adjusted or i will never see another controller besides clove in my ranked games and i wouldnt be suprised if we see them a lot in pro

Pro take time to change their bad habit if something is not obviously totally broken. Pro will realize in 1 year she is broken, thats too early for their inertial brain, she still suffers from her soloQ image (And the fact she beside her passive, all of their kit is absolutely horribly useless)

- Sage (pre-up) : 58%
- Clove : 56%
- Iso : 55%
- Astra (pre-up) : 54%

2 of the top 4 have an up (I bet Sage will still not be played after few years, then people will realise she is broken especially in a postplant meta in probably 1 or 2 years, then will receive a massive nerf that will make her unplayable)
