Like... She is joining the clearly worst team in the league. And even if she is a decent player she ain't gonna be a standout...

So being a decent player on a shit team tends to make you look like shit as well and tanks your stocks....

At the end of the season the narrative could easily be that she ain't very good and didn't deserve T1

It is one one hand... for the moment. But on the other... it could harm the perception of GC if she fails. Like... if she joined Giants or Gentlemates it's would be fine but Apeks will likely finish dead last. And the narrative of dead last teams always is that they are horrendous and their players are bad.
