geniunely asking here. im not transphobic i have 0 problem with trans women playing with cis women, and i get that its "marginalized" but why isnt it just women? are nb ppl unable to compete in vct?
everybody is able to compete in vct, including cis women. So the argument to have a separate tournament for nb and trans people is the same as having a separate tournament for women - it's much harder to become a pro if you're not a man, rankeds become way more toxic, society disencourages you, etc.
Of course you could argue how much this is a disadvantage for different people, but it's undeniable that 99% of pros in high level are cis males and we should encourage nb ppl and women a bit more to even out this disparity. Game changers is all about representation, show that these people exist and can play very well, to inspire the next generations so that eventually vct main circuit becomes more diverse and hopefully rankeds and gamers in general become more welcoming for everyone.
My understanding is that GC is for all "marginalised genders" not just anyone who falls under women. So trans dudes I believe can also compete as can non binary. Probably just anyone who isn't a cis dude I would assume. It just so happens that cis women make up the vast majority of GC because trans people are like 1% of the population or less idk but cis women are obviously around half
