Question for VCT teams that are not participating in any OFF-SEASON tournaments, why? Isn't participating just free money?

1. Not complete or fully comfortable roster
2. Doesn't get invited
3. Doesn't want to play in an open tournament
4. Doesn't want to travel or can't travel (Can be a lot of legal work like passports, visa etc.)

Also I hear some people say

But regardless every team should try their best to participate in one
