if there is a sage and a phoenix left and you say hes on your right im gonna assume its phoenix and get wrecked by his flash like it doesnt even make sense before you realize women play

Agreed. This is so dumb it drives me crazy
If we know which one is on the right, say the agent name: "Sage on your right" or "Phoenix on your right"
If we don't, just say "one on your right"
Clears up any possible misconceptions

I use agent call outs or number call outs like "1 on the right".

Using pronouns is useless imo

literally all pros just refer to reyna players and jett players as he, even though reyna and jett r obviously females?

well the pros know each other for the most part and will just call them by name (even tho coaches try to discourage this so they dont think about who they are playing if its like aspas or something)

yea but if just hop on a random account like silver-immortal ud see the vast majority of players just say oh hes hit 70 NEVER like shes hit 70 or something thats incredibly rare

in game? most likely no one will care + "he" has a more gender neutral connotation when used in comms

it comes from a concept called the "generic masculine" when ones gender is not of concern . It a pretty old thing that can easily exclude woman but when saying something short it still can be easily used :)

Ikr. Happened to me once. Clove and Sage were alive in other team and this mf said "They are in hookah" I thought both of them were there. I asked why he said they and he said it's because it's clove's pronoun. I reported the mf for trolling

I guess it is just a general reflex especially for me and he takes shorter to pronounce than "she"

the last thing someone's gonna think of is what to call an enemy before a gunfight; its just natural instinct for the most part, so whatever the person says does not mean its the gender of the person fighting u. ive had people say "one kid pushing" before but that doesnt mean my crosshair's gonna move down

"you go girl" is just corny and weird to say and if you said "you go boy" it'd still sound cringe and irritate the men in the game
now I know "you go girl" is used normally between girls but saying that to a guy comes off as either very cringe or insulting

It definitely does not come off that way bro. It's all fun and games... If men find this insulting then they need help.

sure, I agree taking it as insulting is stupid but most people will react with one of the two (also it varies a bit depending on the gender of the person saying it)

Guess you're just getting the wrong men on your team. My duo refers to everyone as "girl" and we haven't came across a single dude who's gotten ticked off by it yet xD
