Madrid hasnt been bad or anything they just struggled to find their peak this season with mbappe maybe this game they find it, ancelotti is also looking for a formation that suits the team the most.

they've been poor in lots of games, and havent found the solution to play mbappe and vinicius together at the level they are expected to play at. madrid needed more a pure nine like harry kane/haaland instead of mbappe, someone thats always in the box dragging defenders to make space for the wingers and also has high chance of goal per attempt. especially since mbappe's peak and danger has always come from the wing
