Funnily, JDG have -YHchen + sword9 so sword9 will be going up against his ex-teammates this match!
Not sure. He is highly respected in the Chinese val community as he was the igl of the KONE roster back in 2022 during the East Asian LCQ that comprised of Knight (BLG), Yosemite (BLG), Ninebody (TYLOO), & Luok1ng (Trace). He was also the assistant coach of EDG during 2023 so he gained a lot of respect then. During 2024, AG was considered to be one of the weakest rosters but was able to make it to playoffs both times during Split 1 and Split 2 (where they would proceed to be single-eliminated by Trace both times).
I think he is decent, but not amazing. Good in all aspects but nothing to make you say wow JDG will be good this year, if they do well I suspect its more vivas credit than anything
I assumed Bunt was the one out because K1ra is a controller player if I'm not mistaken and x3b plays all of Sword9's roles.
X3B and K1ra aren't generational talent, but they're reliably consistent (albeit consistently mediocre). I'm confident Ego can get something out of them over the course of the offseason though
i have no idea. they haven't made an announcement about his status at all so all we know is that he's not playing in this tournament
I was honestly surprised to see that K1ra and x3b were the ones chosen from Ascension. K1ra was okay but x3b was just not good. But I'm guessing x3b is their new igl so firepower isn't their concern for him.
X3B played the exact same roles as Sword9 and i have absolutely no idea who the FUCK would be igl if not him. That's my one doubt with this roster tbh because while QJC didn't look catastrophically bad I don't really have confidence in his abilities to lead
whelp no announcements yet but that would absolutely fucking suck if by some chance it did happen
I think AG winning here would be an upset. I don't know much about K1ra but I've seen X3B play and he is not VCT level. JDG should be able to take a 2-0 here especially if they want a good morale boost and forget about the season that just wasn't to be.

I feel like JDG was improving last we saw them. I understand replacing Yhchen but is +sword9 and (I heard +Ego) even an upgrade? Like what have they accomplished in tier 1?
