Indian comparison doesnt make sense

Valorant is the first PC esports game where we are at least able to compete against teams from regions where esports have been developing for years. This is our first real presence in the PC esports scene so you cant really expect us to go toe to toe with the competitors which are into this FPS or PC esports scene from a long time.

SO THE COMPARISON JUST DOESNT MAKE SENSE

That's the complain I always have in my mind about how people view japanese valorant so can't say I don't get where you're coming from, the comparison is just incredibly unfair

We are just happy to be here tbh and its really good that some of our teams are atleast putting a fight against well developed teams so its just up from here

The only players I know from Indian cs are marzil and forsaken and both are bad now, that's a very bad foundation to start on

almost half of OG GE roster were from cs. same with PRX, half of them were CS players.

Foundation as in for the future and the scene overall. Not just the players.

yeah the problem is more than experience in esports or players or tourneys.
it's the mindset of every players, coaches, and org owners. esports career are usually short so they better be focused on esports and no other.

Tbf to build a solid foundation you need a solid playerbase that's what india lacked tbh

Lmao, the tournaments barely reach double-digit viewership; they might hit 50 viewers on a good day. And can you name one Indian CS player who has competed at a tier-1 level? It was always the same 10-20 pros competing repeatedly on and on in the local tourneys.

back in 2014 an indian team competed at a major, and they werent the worst team there (probably 2nd worst) but yeah i see where you are coming from

What comparison? They don’t even have Indian players so how can there be any comparison? Are we comparing org? First let Indian players actually compete then we can talk about making comparisons.

I saw too many threads today complaining about Indian valorant being bad and i am not denying that but the problem here is that they are expecting indian players and teams to perform on the same level as the teams from different regions where they have a strong PC esports background and as i mentioned this is literally our first PC esports game where we atleast exist.

bro indo is literally the same. we only have 2, mind you, 2 players with successful career in FPS. valorant, for most people, are their first competitive FPS ever in indo. we barely see any CSGO player still playing val in indo professionally. and our most successful esports athlete are mobile games esport player. that's literally the same with india.

But atleast Valorant is getting recognition in Indo you guys get over 20K+ watching in grand finals while we had 500 peak viewers during recent grand finals of split 3.
You guys have significantly active playerbase than India for last 3 years our orgs literally recycled the same washed CS frogs over and over into different teams because of lack of young talent in India. This year was the first year we saw some new names like Techno and Venka putting a good fight against well established players and team.

yeah that's what i said, marketing is really good in here. so player regeneration is also very good. every year i've seen new names playing in vcl.
kudos to riot i guess? even my lil bro plays valorant. sometimes we swapped account and i made him a decent rig.

it's just valorant marketing in indo is quite good, so that we have a large playerbase.

if we're talking about countries where fps are abundant before valorant, there is almost none in asia except korea and china.

It doesn't have to be abundant, it's just needs to be sufficient, that alone will lay the foundation.

No one expects u to directly go there but mate listen there are international teams in T2 scene go there and practice which significantly is better than SA, idk why Rossi wouldn't go thru with the jpn offer of T2, he said he faced visa issues and stuff but let's be real it's not that much issue to obtain a jpn visa , I think a part of him was definitely a little doubtful how he would do there and since SA is comparatively easier maybe he thought of staying in here, plus no other player does go out of their way to get in an international T2 team or acadmy, plus the fact that two Kazakh a region with no VCL or any prominent t1 ot T2 player , with no prior experience in vct , from ranked made it here and just bulldozed through our entire region and were of top stats in VCL sa and also had the top 15 highest ratings in ascension,. Just shows how bad we are

You are wrong here buddy Kazakhstan has a really strong FPS background PGL 2017 major winner Gambit had 3 Kazakh players in it so its so wrong to say that they had no prior experience
And talking about Rossi sadly he was never tier1 ready he just got carried by dos and sultan
TR should have won that final in the first place but somehow they threw that or otherwise they were the best SA representative for Ascension

No mate TR didn't deserve it, why? Were they really good mechanically yes, were they one of the best VCL SA teams yes, were they carried by Indian Plyaers unlike the other teams that were wholely carried by imports yes, but the matter of fact is, if you lose three finals in a fuckin row in one the least competitive region you never deserve it . Period.

First problem -> South Asian Valorant❌ Indian Valorant✅
Riot fucked south asia giving India to handle south asian valorant. and adding garbage server to mumbai where other south asians cannot play.
At the beginning Indian vct qualifier organizers let other countries to play 100+ ping on mumbai server official vct qualifiers.
more countries = more talents

Bro, if Riot had given any other South Asian country the responsibility to handle all the operations, it would have likely turned into a disaster.

yes. just same like India. we know what happen to our local scene. at least riot should keep competitive integrity(i mean ruling side need to handle by riot unless country who organizing).

still my opinion is playing local scene is not enough. As a new region to fps, it just not competitive and that's why lot of Indians players struggle

no one expects india to go toe to toe, idk what imagination you have but only indians overrate their players while the rest of the world knows yall are miles behind.

NA dealt with it for a decade in CS, Lol, and Dota. Na just didn't have the PC player base at that time. Everyone played consoles. As soon as PC gaming becomes widespread it will be fine for you guys. but you might need a new game.
