Because Saudi is currently going all in on investing in Esports to sportwash their image; they are the perfect example to the point he was making.
Its like how I will always point people to the 1936 berlin olympics when someone is interested in learning about sportswashing. No its not the most successful example, but its well documented and is easy to observe.
The takeaway isnt that only Nazis do sportswashing, but what sportswashing is and how it can be used.

Ive never commented on any country since this concept doesnt depend on countries (I even spend a paragraph trying to explain this to ya xD)
I couldnt care if its Germany that does it, or if its Russia, or Saudi. I will always critique a government misusing esports for their interest. Even if I agree with their cause.
Esports is not a toy for them to play with. It hasnt been yet and I would like to keep it that way.
I will, and have, critique any cases I come across of governments trying to misuse esports.
