liquid kinda makes sense, they have an open spot, but looking at these couple of rosters they've built in the last few years it seems like they dont really invest in valorant that much. what makes it even more unlikely is if you look at this year they didn't even try to compete for higher tier free agents and immediately went to trialing tier 2 pros.
Yeah its a bit of an odd one. In a way it makes the most sense as they clearly arent set on a roster yet and are one of the few orgs that actually do have the finances to sign someone like aspas. Aditionally they have on open international spot and should be an english speaking roster. But from last years and this years rumored moves it also seems like they just kind of accepted that they wont be a title competitor in VCT. Perhaps they will reconsider if an opportunity like this arises.
The reason why Im wondering about how "locked" some of the agreements are is that teams like NAVI or FNC would technically be able to fit Aspas if they are willing to/able to kind of "undo" the agreements with the players they were looking at.
