With the disclaimer out of the way I just wanted to list the massive issue regarding how T2 is treated compared to how GC is treated. If we look at T2 and GC they basically are the same with qualifying stages and then the last stage into the biggest event of the year. But the thing is why is GC given such a big budget with their prize pools and hella good production while ascension has been absolute dog shit this year. And this is a fact but T2 is exponentially more important than GC is since 4 teams in ascension will be moving up into the T1 scene. Also the underlying issue of orgs as well, orgs have more of a incentive to say in GC than they do in T2 which just shows the massive issue.
People are wondering why the VCT scene is dying with so many people and orgs leaving and its just because Valorant legit doesn't care unless they can make an ass scene which promotes everything and not focusing on just one thing that can actually help the scene grow. Just imagine if ascension had the same amount of viewers as a normal AMER game and production that would blow up the scene but ofc they spend it all on GC.
Also legit what has GC accomplished for Valorant that gives them such a big idea to continue treating it like normal Tier 1 Valorant? The championship legit washed over in like 3 days and the only thing I and many others know about it now is the drama that comes from it not even the teams.
