any recommendations? I was gonna get kzs but I heard somewhere that they had some bad proprietary cable and that it was overrated. but idk I watch dankpods he says it's good. I also considered truthears crinnacle zero but for the life of me I can't tell which one isit bcos there's some that has a cool swirly design on the back and other that's just metal so I'm not sure which is the real one. so should I get kz, truthears, moondrop or stick with my old 2018 Samsung phone ones

Truthear Hexa. Tbf my first IEMs, but great value and I easily prefer these over my Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pros. Great overall, but apparently really neutral sound so maybe not the most exciting for music etc, but still really good.

I have The Moondrop Chu and 7Hz Salnotes Zero

Moondrop is very neutral sounding and honestly well tuned for its price point

7hz is a bit more bass heavy and is tuned by crinical many people consider it as a top iem for its price

So you can choose depending on what you listen too. But if you want to listen to every part of a song then moondrop chu is really good

nah I just wanna play Val and listen to music from time to time. I'd also rather a longer cable so it doesn't rub up against my face

Iems are for music mostly but you can honestly go for 7hz salnotes zero or zero two I've used them for valo and it does the job pretty well. But i feel iems are bit of a waste for gaming

I have 7Hz salnotes and they're very good for like 20$. I would recommend.

I have 7Hz salnotes, I mainly used them for gaming (val ofc) and some other stuff like listening to music, etc. They are pretty much the best when it comes to budget iem's. If you want your first pair, they are a great choice for people getting into the iem sphere. I would not recommend investing a lot of money into your first purchase because you will slowly figure out, what you like an iem to sound like.

They're also pretty comfortable. I can use them for hours and my ears won't hurt at all.
